Answers before
you write.
DC Pulse presents public civic data as published by its source agencies. Availability, accuracy, categorization, geocoding, and update timing depend on those datasets.
How do I install the beta?+
Open the public TestFlight invitation on your iPhone, install Apple’s TestFlight app if needed, and follow the invitation to install DC Pulse.
What should I include when reporting a problem?+
Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened, and the steps that led to the problem. Your iPhone model, iOS version, and DC Pulse app version can also help us investigate.
Why doesn’t every public record appear on the map?+
Some source records do not include a valid geocoded location. Those records may still appear in Requests but cannot always be placed accurately on the map.
Do I have to share my location?+
No. Location access is optional. You can enter a DC address, choose a saved place, or browse by ward instead.
Can DC Pulse resolve a 311 request or permit issue?+
No. DC Pulse helps you explore public records and reach the appropriate official service. It does not create, manage, resolve, issue, approve, or verify government records.
Where does the information in DC Pulse come from?+
DC Pulse uses public datasets published through DC Open Data and DC GIS, including DC 311 service requests, DC Department of Buildings permits, and DDOT construction permits.
